The Will’s Way Project honors the memory of Will Day, who during his short life spent many days in UNC and Duke Children’s Hospitals. Through many tests and procedures during those trying times, Will was always able to brighten our world with his loving smile.
We seek to bring a little light to the families and caregivers spending long days and nights with children in nearby hospitals with gift bags and care packages.
We need your help to share Will’s light for families with children in the hospital this Valentine’s.
Would your class, group or family like to make Valentine’s Day cards or a Valentine’s Day craft to fit in a 9 x 12 envelope? These cards/crafts will be included with gift cards and a few more items to let these families know that someone is thinking about them at Valentine’s. We need the cards/crafts dropped off at OUMC by January 31st. If you can help please use the button below to fill out our sign up form.

Would you like to help put together packages for families with children in the hospital for Valentine’s? This is your opportunity.
When – Sunday, February 4th after traditional service at Oxford United Methodist Church, we will eat pizza around 12:15pm and start work around 12:45pm
Where – Oxford United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall
Who? – ALL are welcome for pizza and to help put the packages together. (Do not need to be a member of the church)
What? We will be stuffing envelopes with a few Valentine’s Day items and the handmade cards/crafts to provide a little light for families with children in the hospital.

Would your class or group like to make a craft or card to go in these special bags we deliver this Christmas? We have received many comments about how special it is to receive a homemade card or craft. You can help shine a light in this special way! All cards or crafts are due by December 1, 2023 and must be able to fit in a 13” X 13” bag.
Grace is at UNC Children’s hospital awaiting surgery on Thursday. We are glad to be celebrating Will’s birthday and thanks for the Starbucks card!! She’s been here 10 days and will probably be another week or so. Feel free to use Grace’s photo. Thank you again!!!
